I recently read the story, SHADES OF PEOPLE by Shelley Rotner and Shelia M. Kelly. This book takes you on a fun-filled photographic journey of various skin colors, shades, and tones. As a follow-up to this story, each student chose a paper doll that best represented their skin color. Googly eyes and faces were drawn later. Each student worked hard to stencil and cut out paper doll clothing. We adorned our paper dolls with glitter, stickers, and buttons. I am so proud of 6D's efforts and encourage you to take a peak at our marvelous paper doll display as you walk down the hallway.
